![]() ![]() The Titans rescued her and explained to the Centaurians that they have captured the wrong Tamaranean. When Starfire thought of leaving Earth, the Centauri Police showed up and captured her. She was especially unhappy with her sister’s attempts at flirting with Robin. The Titans seemed to like her so much, Starfire was beginning to think they wouldn’t need her around anymore. Blackfire won the Teen Titans’ support by having fun with them and telling them stories of adventures she had throughout her travels in the galaxy. She gave Starfire a centauri moon diamond and pretended to enjoy being reunited with her. This is seen in the second episode, Sisters when she developed a crush on Robin upon meeting him and tried to gain his attention and affection, but this could also have been a ploy in further isolating her sister from her friends.īlackfire first appeared when she arrived on Earth in the second episode Sisters. Blackfire is also quite pretty, and she knows it and uses it to her advantage when around boys. Blackfire is also quite vain and loves telling stories about herself. She has a very sarcastic sense of humor and always hurts Starfire’s feelings. The two of them are poster children for sibling rivalry. Blackfire loves fighting her sister and rubbing the fact that she is older and stronger in her little sister’s face. Blackfire is constantly trying to, in some way, do away with Starfire, first with getting her arrested and then trying to marry her to an ooze alien. The two almost never get along well, except when Blackfire tricks Starfire into thinking she’s being nice. She also has the optimum qualities of a villain, and she is cunning, deceitful, immoral, sadistic and unremorseful. But I'm certain that will change once Rachel Roth returns.Though she is Starfire’s older sister, the two are polar opposites. ![]() It just feels like a Nightwing show than a Titans show. Non the less, I have found this season to be the best one yet, in terms of quality in writing and acting. To be honest, the show haven't felt like a true Titans show since the second season, having Conor Leslie return as Donna Troy / Wonder Girl would fix that and I'm certain her resurrection will happen. I also want Conner to have some bigger meaning in the upcoming episodes, he took a back seat in this episode because of a realistic reason but I want more of him. I'm fairly certain that Teagan Croft will return to the show as Rachel Roth, it have been four episodes now and I think the show needs her. Brenton Thwaites and Vincent Kartheiser were great in this episode, delivering amazing performances. Regarding the Starfire storyline of this episode, I anticipated something grander but it was alright yet I'm still interested to see what the writers have in store for her and Blackfire, but honestly it was badly paced and scenes could have been trimmed down in favor of more Conner and see what he's going through. ![]() The Grayson storyline was the best, though some odd decisions in terms of storytelling I found it interesting and good either way. But the story of this episode was split up to two sections, Dick Grayson and Jonathan Crane, the other being Starfire and Gar Logan finding out the meaning of her visions. I found the dialogue between Dick Grayson and Jonathan Crane to be the strongest, the dialogue felt a bit lackluster for the other characters in this episode except for Gar Logan and the short appearance of Superboy. The episode is dialogue heavy and slow paced from start to finish, but the episode answers a lot of questions. The fight sequence was interesting in the way their abilities and skills was shown, I think the stunt coordinators and people who are working on the show always does a good job with that. Cinematography was amazing in this episode and how they shot the fight sequence at night time with the lightning and effects, just brilliant. It's hard to beat that episode and "Blackfire" never reaches that brilliance but the writers and director does a great job with building up to events and slowing things down for character development and world building, the sister to Titans member Starfire makes her anticipated appearance as the villain Blackfire who haven't been seen since the cameo in the season 2 finale. ![]() Millicent Shelton directs the follow-up to what I think was the best episode of the season, it showed how big a threat Red Hood really are and how he killed Hank Hall / Hawk in such a personal way. ![]()
